“When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does. And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is. Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?” – Luke 12:54-56
We live in an unprecedented time in history. The fulfillment of biblical prophecy fills the news headlines with reports of disease, famine, locusts, earthquakes, and war. Even calls for a third temple and the formation of a global government are appearing. We are truly in the time leading to the return of Jesus Christ.
West Clouds Rising podcast and blog posts are geared towards teaching, equiping and bringing insight to today’s Chrisitans to prepare us for the coming times. The site is dedicated to undertanding end-times prophecy to discern what Satan, pagan gods, and fallen angels are doing and how Jesus tells us to overcome them.
Jesus is clear that we who are born again are not of this world. We are seated in heavenly places and have been given the authority and mandate to heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons. We are invited to be children of God with the authority over all the power of the enemy. We will tread on serpents and scorpions, and nothing will injure us if we follow Jesus and His instructions.
The primary scripture I reference for this site comes from Daniel 12:3, a prophecy spoken by an angel concening the end times. “Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven…“
So I invite you to explore this site, subscribe for updates and follow the podcast and join me in this journey to understanding the end of this age and our purpose in this time.
About the Author
I am analytical-minded and set out to find how prophetic scriptures from different books fit together by finding commonalities between them. I believe in the inerrancy of scripture and that the right interpretation can have no contradictions with any other scripture.
It seems to me that most popular teachings about the end of this age are not scriptural but are derived from scripture through a lens of traditions, biases, and speculation. This causes many learned Christians to arrive at competing theories using a subset of scripture that matches their preconceived notions. My mind was a blank slate when I started digging into prophetic scriptures about Jesus’ return so I had no such biases.
