Nephilim giants and their Rehaim offspring are found in many cultures’ traditions, but eyewitnesses claim they still terrorize remote regions of the earth today.

The Nephilim Giants

“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head,
and you shall bruise him on the heel.”

– Genesis 3:15

“The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them.“

– Genesis 6:4

“It was using them like a war club and then, I swear to God, it started to eat them!”

Opinions on the Nephilim are as varied as any topic in the Bible. Some people see them as vital to understanding the past and future times. Others agree that they existed as an odd historical curiosity with no relevance today. Others deny entirely that the Nephilim came from the mixing of angels and humans, as described in Genesis 6.

This is on the fringe of our beliefs for today’s Christians, yet the Old and New Testaments thoroughly cover this topic. I was initially skeptical about the possibility of Nephilim or Rehaim living beyond the time of King David. But I found that this is one of those areas that the more you research it, the more surprises you find. There are things I believe today that I didn’t a year ago. But why?

The reason is evidence – Biblical text, oral traditions, physical evidence, and eyewitness testimony. This could easily be a book rather than a blog post, and there are many books on this topic. But for this post, I will give you the most convincing evidence I have found of their past existence and even their modern-day survival.

But the evidence is not enough. Like all mysteries, we can’t separate fact from fiction unless we understand the why behind the mystery. Why did angels create these creatures? What is their purpose? And what is their role in our times near the end of this age?

The Biblical Narrative on Nephilim Giants and Rephaim

Can Satan have offspring? The average person would probably say no. But in the very beginning, with the fall of man, God makes a shocking statement. He curses the serpent for its deceit and tells him that his seed will be at enmity with the woman’s (Eve’s) seed.

Satan is a fallen angel; we know from this statement that he and other fallen angels can seed offspring. Three chapters later, the Bible tells us that a group of fallen angels mate with human women and produce the Nephilim. Some versions translate this as giants, and they were giants, as confirmed in Numbers.

The Book of Enoch and the Book of Giants give us many more details about these events. Though not included in most canon, the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in the 20th century proves that these books are ancient and were important to the Jewish Essenes.

While God punished the angels who committed this great sin and bound them in the abyss, the Nephilim continued beyond the great flood God brought to cleanse the earth. The Bible testifies of battles with the sons of Anak, said to be Nephilim, and Og, the last of the remnant of the Rephaim (descendants of the Nephilim). Yet approximately 250 years later, in King David’s time, the giant Goliath fought with the Philistines. Could some Rephaim have escaped God’s punishment and the Israelite’s purge?

Rephaim Giants in North America

“The eyes of that species of extinct giants whose bones fill the Mounds of America, have gazed on Niagara as ours do now. Cotemporary with the whole race of men, and older than the first man Niagara is strong and fresh today as ten thousand years ago.“

– Abraham Lincoln, Niagara Falls Sep/Oct 1848

It must have been common knowledge in 1848 that a giant species built many mounds in North America. Abraham Lincoln would not have made such a reference if his audience would not have understood this and accepted it as fact.

It’s incredible how a population can completely forget knowledge in a couple of lifetimes. Other cultures, such as Native Americans, retained knowledge through the generations through story-telling. In the oral traditions of many Native American tribes, there is a history of red-haired cannibalistic giants.

When we speak of giants in modern times, we mostly speak of Rephaim rather than Nephilim. The Nephilim, meaning fallen ones in Hebrew, were the first first-generation hybrids of angels and human women per Genesis 6. There giant descendants are generally regarded as the Rephaim, meaning dead ones. They include clans like the Anakim and Emim, meaning fearful ones.

Accounts of Giants

• A book by Dr. Donald Yates documented an account from Chief Rolling Thunder of the Comanches in 1857 about an ancient race of white giants. The Chief stated, “Compared with them, the palefaces of the present day were pygmies, in both art and arms.”
• Yates also wrote of a Navajo legend about the Starnake people. The legends described them as “A regal race of white giants endowed with mining technology who dominated the West, enslaved lesser tribes, and had strongholds throughout the Americas. They were either extinguished or ‘went back to the heavens.‘”
• The Choctaw people found a giant white race they called the Nahullo when they first crossed the Mississippi River. The Nahullo were said to be cannibals the Choctaw killed whenever the opportunity arose.
• The Paiute people also have an oral tradition about the Si-Te-Cah or Sai’i, a tribe of vicious, cannibalistic red-haired giants. Sar h Winnemucca Hopkins captured this oral tradition in a book in 1882. In her book, she describes a great battle when the Paiute cornered the giants in what is now Lovelock Cave. They accumulated brush at the entrance and shot flaming arrows at the giants to keep them contained until they succumbed to the smoke.

This last example is accompanied by evidence. Many years after the attack at Lovelock Cave, miners digging up bat guano in the cave found burnt arrows and large red-haired skeletons. They even found broken human bones with the marrow removed, indicating cannibalism.

But the skeletons have now disappeared. In fact, there is a long history of people finding giant bones in North America and even putting them on display in museums. However, many, if not most, of these stories end with the Smithsonian showing up and taking the skeletons. To document this, a man named Travis Roy has collected over 700 newspaper articles reporting finds of giant bones in America and has posted them on his Instagram account.

There are also examples of giant tracks preserved in the stone trackways of Glen Rose, Texas, and other locations. Fortunately, Dr. C.N. Dougherty documented these tracks in a book he published in 1971 entitled Valley of the Giants. Many of these tracks are side by side with dinosaur tracks, but that is a discussion for another day. Some of the tracks located inside of the state park were allegedly destroyed, and a sign indicating giant man tracks were removed. A retired park ranger reportedly admitted to moving the sign and placing it in a shed. However, people claim there are tracks in sections of the river that still exist today.

Why would scientific institutions and state parks hide bones or remove trackways? Because it goes against the narrative they have sold the public. Evidence of giants support the Biblical narrative and conflict with the accepted progression of evolution theory.

So if there were giants in the Americas, how did they get here?

The Giant Migration

There is evidence that these giants were remnants of the Rephaim that escaped Canaan because of the successful attacks of the Israelites and the punishment of God.

Back in 1553, Pedro Cieza de León wrote Chronicle of Peru. He told an interesting history of these giants from the Manta people.

“They arrived on the coast, in boats made of reeds, as big as large ships, a party of men of such size that, from the knee downwards, their height was as great as the entire height of an ordinary man, though he might be of good stature. Their limbs were all in proportion to the deformed size of their bodies, and it was a monstrous thing to see their heads, with hair reaching to the shoulders. Their eyes were as large as small plates.“

León also wrote that the Natives found the sexual habits of the giants revolting, and heaven eventually wiped out the giants because of those habits.

I find this account plausible for a number of reasons.

First, L.A. Marzulli has DNA samples tested from one of the oblong skulls found in Peru. He discovered that their material DNA originated in the Middle East.

Second, non-canonical books such as the fragments of the Book of Giants indicate that the fallen angels mixed their seed with all kinds of beasts in addition to humans. Could this behavior be the revolting sexual practices described by the Manta people?

And lastly, the Bible states that, at times, God directly wiped out certain giant clans, such as the Zamzummin and the Horites. This is in keeping with Manta’s oral tradition that heaven eventually wiped out the giants because of their sexual practices.”

But is this the end of the story for the Nephilim, the giants, or do they still walk the earth? Corroborated eyewitness testimony says yes.

The Giant “Nephs” of Afgahnistan

The Kandahar Giant

There are multiple accounts about the U.S. military encountering vicious cannibalistic giant Nephilim or Rephaim in Afghanistan. This first account may be the first encounter that reportedly occurred in 2002, early in the Afghan war.

L.A. Marzulli interviewed the man who gave the account three or four times before bringing him on camera, anonymously as “Mr. K.” Mr. Marzulli stated that each time he interviewed the man, the man broke down in tears when describing the horror that befell one member of his team.

Mr. K described a mission as part of a special ops team that went out to investigate the disappearance of another team. They came upon a cave and found bones, military communications equipment, and guns at the entrance of the cave. Suddenly, a red-haired giant emerged. He reeked of rotting corpses, stood 12-15 feet tall, and had long, scarlet red hair and a beard. A soldier named Dan rushed the giant, and the giant immediately thrusted his pike through Dan’s chest. The rest of the team opened fire with M-4s, .308 caliber sniper rifles, and Barrett .50 caliber rifles, yelling, “Shoot him in the face.”

After 30 seconds of sustained gunfire, the giant finally fell dead. The soldiers pulled Dan’s body off the pike and wrapped the stinking giant in cargo nets for a helicopter to take him away. The team estimated the giant to be 1,100 lbs, and it had six fingers and toes.

L.A. Marzulli also interviewed a soldier anonymously named “Mr. D,” who had heard the account while on a base in Afghanistan. He also mentioned how their superiors would instruct them to aim high, higher than a man’s head, without explanation. You can watch these interviews here.

So, was this a hoax, an isolated unexplained event, or was this one of many such encounters? There are more, and some are even more brutal than this one.

The Second Testimony

This next testimony is one of a number of accounts from an Army Ranger named “Mike”. Mike’s testimony begins with an encounter with a red-haired giant in 2009. This testimony is nearly identical to the prior testimony but with a lot more details given. For this reason, it is possible that these are the same event even though they were said to have taken place seven years apart. It could be that one of these people took the story from another and retold it. Alternatively, the similarities could simply show a pattern of how the giants live and attack. But I will say that the account is very detailed, gives a lot of background, and seems highly credible.

In addition, a C130 pilot interviewed by Steve Quale and L.A. Marzulli corroborated the story, stating that he had flown the body of a dead giant out of Afghanistan. His description of the giant matched the giants in these accounts: the size, the stench, the hair, and the fingers and toes.

The Giant Near Al-Askay Mountains

In this account, this Army Ranger “Mike” arrived in Afghanistan in 2009 and was assigned to a team sent out to locate a team that went missing. It appeared that the more experienced soldiers knew what they were about to face. While typically trained to shoot at the center mass of a target, Mike’s Captain instructed him to “aim high” as he raised his hand far above his head.

Like the first account, the team came to a cave above a sheer cliff and, upon reaching the entrance, saw ripped pieces of flesh, skin, and the bloody radio of a man the Captain knew as James. The stench was horrible, a combination of corpses and raw sewage. At the entrance, they saw modern guns, old rusted guns, and even old swords piled up like trophies.

Mike said a sense of fear and despair overwhelmed them just before the giant appeared. The beast was 14 feet tall, wore a loin cloth and skin shoes, and was shockingly agile for his size. The giant thrust his spear into a man referred to as “E” and raised him in the air as the soldiers opened fire, aiming for the head.

The giant rushed the man telling the story and yelled something at him in a different language he didn’t understand. Fortunately for Mike, the giant succumbed to the headshots before he reached him.

Starring at the dead body, he saw his red hair, six fingers and toes, and two rows of teeth. One of the other soldiers called this giant a “Neph,” a term Mike had never heard of. He also told him that this Neph was one of about a dozen that teams had encountered and killed. The Ranger then asked Mike if he wanted to know what the Neph said to him before he died. He had spoken Hebrew, “Son of Yeshu, I will eat your soul!“

If true, this last statement is interesting. Mike brought up earlier in the testimony that he was a Protestant, though I don’t know the status of his soul. The name the giant spoke, Yeshu, is a derivation of Joshua or even Yeshua, the Hebrew name of Jesus. How would the giant have known he was a Chrisitan?

There seems to be a heightened spiritual aspect to these giants. This account and others mention the fear and dread that these creatures emit, feeling this even before they see them. The spirits of dead Nephilim have long been said to be the source of demon spirits. It is intriguing that the live giants carry the same qualities as a demon.

This begs the question, will a Nephilim or Rephaim submit to Jesus’ name the way a demon does?

The Jew Who Faced a Neph

As Mike’s story continues, he is eventually assigned to a Team known as “M,” a team that hunts down Nephilim, among other fringe entities. There, he meets a Jewish man he calls David, who gives an account of his first encounter with a Neph.

David described how earlier in the war when they were bombing the enemy forces, they were puzzled why the Taliban fighters were not retreating to the caves. They faced obliteration in the open rather than retreat to the perceived safety of these rock shelters. After months, the fighters (he referred to as “Hajiis”) had no choice but to retreat to the caves.

David’s team was assigned to perform reconnaissance on an area east of Kandahar where a high-value target was reported to be operating in the caves. What they saw was beyond belief.

They watched the cave for about 48 hours and witnessed Taliban fighters going in and out of a cave, about 50 in total. Then, they heard an unexplainable roar, and men came sprinting out of the cave. Following them was this beast, a giant. It annihilated the men. David witnessed the giant pick two of them up in his hands and squeeze them. He could hear their bones popping until their heads popped off from the pressure. Then the giant used the men’s bodies like war clubs, striking the other men with them. He then bit one of the men in half and swallowed. Of the 50 Taliban, only ten escaped.

After witnessing this horror, they are instructed to engage the beast.

They entered the cave, stepping over arms, legs, and bodies of dead Taliban fighters. They passed the tables and communication gear left by the Taliban and continued deeper until they encountered the smell of dead bodies and raw sewage. Fear came over David.

Then the giant appeared, standing at a massive 15 ft tall. He looked at David and spoke in ancient Hebrew, “Israelites, I hate His chosen,” and flicked David aside like a bug against the wall and laughed.

The team opened fire, aiming at his center mass, and it did nothing. The Neph threw one man, bit the head off another, and chewed it. He then turned to David and said, “Having fun yet, Jew? Where’s your God now?”

One by one, the giant killed the entire team. Helpless, David fell to his knees in prayer. The Neph approached him, chewing on an arm. He picked David up off the floor, breaking three of his ribs, and brought him to his eyes.

He looked at him and said, “I will let you live because you are weak and useless, you who are made in your God’s image. You will remember me when you sleep, and you will seek death.”

The giant then walked deeper into the cave carrying the bodies of his dead team with him. He ended his story by saying that after he joined M, they avenged his team. This team then went on to kill other Nephs, even helping to rid an Afghan village of a giant who had been terrorizing them for many years.

There are many elements to this account that match the other accounts. I find it interesting that, once again, the giant showed a spiritual cognition, recognizing the soldier as a Jew. Yet, despite his hatred for the Jewish man, he left him alive. Was this just to taunt the man, or did David’s prayer block the giant from killing him?

There is one more testimony I want to share because it is uniquely different than the others.

The Giant on the Ridge

This last testimony comes from a man named Shane, who was interviewed on Blurry Creatures podcast. Shane was a soldier in Afghanistan in 2009 in the Kunar province, near the Pakistan border.

Shane was on a nighttime observation patrol looking for enemy bombmakers planting IEDs near a base called Fa Blessing. An intel sergeant gave them a new piece of technology to try out; thermal vision gear called Recon 3. He had yet to be trained on it but was amazed at the clarity and powerful digital zoom.

While searching the desolate desert landscape, he saw a large heat signature about 600-700 meters away. He couldn’t make out what it was. Based on its size, he thought it may be a group of Taliban huddling or a goat farmer surrounded by goats. But these explanations didn’t seem to fit because it was clearly one heat signature.

To his surprise, the thing he had spotted stood up. The creature stood two to three feet higher than the 12 to 16-foot tall trees that grew at this elevation. In the thermal vision gear, the giant appeared to be without clothes. He could see long hair and a bushy beard. At this point, he grew alarmed, frightened, even threatened.

Suddenly, the giant looked in his direction. An uneasy feeling came over him, and he felt like the creature knew he was there. To his relief, after a few minutes, the giant turned and started to walk away. With each stride, it cleared a huge distance, walking competently on the jagged terrain. In 10 to 15 steps, it reached the next ridge and disappeared.

Shane only mentioned it to the intel sergeant who had given them the Recon 3s, who informed him (too late) that the Recon3 had a camera function. He also mentioned that a special forces team had come through the base recently and had said they were on a “weird” mission. He said some of the things they we doing didn’t make sense to him. Shane wondered if their mission was related to the giant.

He also mentioned strange customs he noticed with the local Afghan villagers. They would dye some of their goats orange and even their own hair orange. He noticed that the goats dyed orange would disappear from the village. It’s as if these goats were offered up to appease something.

Legacy of the Nephilim Giants and the Rehaim Remnant

The Bible states that “only Og king of Bashan was left of the remnant of the Rephaim.”

So how could giants exist today?

God tasked the Israelites with driving out the Repaim from the land of Canaan. But this does not eliminate the possibility that some of the Rehaim fled Canaan for other areas not generally covered in the Bible.

The oral traditions of the people of the Americas tell us that certain giants arrived by boat in Peru. They tell us that red-haired cannibalistic giants roamed North America, building mounds even before many of the tribes we know of arrived. There are hundreds of documented cases of giant bones being unearthed and first-hand eyewitnesses to the bones.

These oral traditions also tell us that these giants were eventually hunted down and destroyed. However, it appears this was not the case in remote areas of Afghanistan, where numerous large cave systems may have provided a protective fortress for these beasts.

If these accounts are true, then the military now has the DNA of the Rephaim, which by extension means that they have partial strands of angel DNA. That’s an unsettling thought. In this day in age, DNA can become a weapon when spliced into other organisms.

Already scientists regularly report splicing human genes into animals for research and therapeutic reasons. But could scientists be performing research that they neglect to report?

Hinted in the Bible, but clearly mentioned in books found in the Dead Sea Scrolls, the fallen angels mixed their genes with more than humans. They corrupted beasts as well.

Could this activity explain many of the criptid sightings today? If so, could this explain a troubling enigmatic phrase in the Book of Revelation? And could this be evidence of prophecy coming to life?
