Roe vs. Wade is the latest polarizing issue dividing society today. What is behind the uproar, and is this leading to the rapture?

Roe vs. Wade and the Polarization of Society

The brewing battle over the constitutionality of abortion in America is the latest of several deeply divisive issues polarizing the world today. The Supreme Court leak is rippling worldwide, with countries lining up in support or condemnation.

This battle is more than a political issue. It is a spiritual battle manifesting through politicians and riotous crowds. The spiritual battle centers around the shedding of innocent blood. This is a powerful thing in both the light and the dark.

As instructed by God, shedding the innocent blood of an unblemished lamb was used to atone for sin, a temporary measure until the final lamb, Jesus Christ, could atone for sin permanently. Jesus was the innocent, unblemished lamb with the soul of the infinite God who could take away sin for all ages.

But just as God uses something for good, darkness uses it for evil. Demonic forces thrive on the shedding of innocent blood and are the spiritual forces behind the fervor for abortion. The explosive reaction of abortionists is unexplainable in the natural. Ignoring the science and miracle of birth, activists are screaming for the right to have their unborn baby ripped to pieces in their womb.

Now, just nine months short of the fifty-year anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, the Supreme Court may be poised to overturn the decision. This overturning would not outlaw abortion but place the decision in the hands of elected state legislators, where it belongs.

Is there a reason we see the deeply divisive issue of abortion coming to the surface at the end of the age? I believe so. And it relates to the seals, the rise of the Beast, and the coming rapture.

Persecution Rising

The abortionists are targeting the Christian/Catholic faith of the judges on the Supreme Court. Abortion activist group Ruth Sent Us posted a statement on Twitter claiming, “six extremist Catholics set out to overturn Roe.”

This same egregious sentiment was made by Senator Elizabeth Warren, who stated, “Right-wing extremists have hijacked the Supreme Court of the United States.“

Yes, if you stand for the lives of unborn children, you are now an extremist.

This group is rallying for protests at Catholic churches this Sunday. The video posted on Twitter showed what appeared to be activists disrupting a church service. Ironically, this will be Mothers’ Day, a day of appreciation from children to mothers.

As we know from Matthew 24, persecution will rise at the end of this age.

 “Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.”

Matthew 24:9-12

If we find activists at our churches, we must remember that we are fighting dark spirits, not people. Many of these activists are hurt people, the broken-hearted. These are the same people Jesus was sent to heal, a ministry we now carry. Some of them may even carry the scars on their hearts from their own abortions. We must fight the spirit and minister to the person.

But also note that individuals can be ministered to, but mobs are lawless. Mobs will shut down any voice counter to their own.

Lawlessness is rising in the streets but also in the government.

Lawlessness Rising

Meanwhile, liberal politicians have lost all sense of civility. Lawlessness demands the end results and cares nothing for principles of law. Because the Supreme Court is reaching a decision that they don’t agree with, they would rather upend the constitutional balance of power in our government by packing the Supreme Court with additional liberal judges. This is a blatant assault of one of the branches of our government by another branch to control it. This is lawlessness.

Here is one such example of this lawlessness.

Senator Ed Markey tweeted “A stolen, illegitimate, and far-right Supreme Court majority appears set to destroy the right to abortion, an essential right which protects the health, safety, and freedom of millions of Americans.

With few exceptions, abortion is the sacrifice of a child for the lifestyle choice of the mother. It rarely has to do with the health and safety of the mother.

Sen. Markey later added, “Now is the time to add four more seats to the Court, restore balance, and protect the right to an abortion.“

This man is a liar. The position he and others are now pushing alters the balance to the abortionist’s side to get their desired result. This is lawlessness, and it is rising.

So what is the bigger picture? Why are division and polarization pervasive today?

Dividing and Conquering

Like marriage and gender, abortion is the latest issue polarizing society and is causing deep divides among democracies. We should expect this division at the end of this age.

Conquerers have used the time-tested strategy to divide and conquer over the ages. A united kingdom is hard to fight, but a divided one will fall. The division we see today will grow and weaken the current powers in the world. This loss of power will open the way for a new power to arise; the Beast, led by the Antichrist. The tearing down of the old is part of the purpose of the first four seals.

As I wrote in detail in the post, The Third Horseman Rides, but His Purpose is Not What You Think, the first and second horsemen have worked together in the past. In the last days of Babylon, the horseman on the black horse caused famine and social upheaval, preparing the people to welcome their conquerors.

Just as the leaders of Babylon were weighed and found lacking, the world’s democracies today are lacking. Like Babylon, they too will be conquered.

Our polarized society is an indication of the horsemen’s strategy at work.

Separating Sheep from Goats in the Rapture

In the study of Old Testament and New Testament scriptures, it is clear that God will rapture only the righteous prior to pouring out judgment. At the rapture, there will be two groups, those taken to heaven and those who will remain on the earth.

Until then, lawlessness will grow and will further divide the righteous from the unrighteous. As the darkness grows, the light will appear even brighter. Hence, our society will appear even more polarized. Persecution of the church will continue to rise.

Abortion is evil. It is the violent murder of an innocent person. Under God’s law, the killing of an unborn baby carries the same penalty of death as the killing of any other person.

How can someone expect to be counted as righteous when the time comes if they support this murderous act?

We must work through our position on these divisive issues and ensure that we are on the righteous side. The apostle Paul instructed us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, knowing that the time is coming near. God will only save the righteous from His judgment.
