A message embedded in the catastrophic tornadoes that hit the U.S. last week warns Biden and the UN not to interfere with Israel’s covenant

The 30+ Year Trend Continues

As recorded in the Bible, God gave Abraham and his descendants through Jacob the land of Israel as an everlasting possession. Though He exiled them for their disobedience, He brought them back as promised. And in 1948, as prophesied, He made Israel a nation once again. But in 1948 and 1967, Israel’s neighbors tried to remove the Jews from the land. Yet, God granted them victory and increased their territory, including the West Bank and the Temple Mount. Since then, the nations have relentlessly tried to force Israel to relinquish this land.

And the U.S. has led this effort. For the past 30 years, almost every U.S. President has pressed Israel to surrender land gained in the Six-Day War in exchange for peace. And since that time, these efforts have resulted in extraordinary natural disasters in the U.S. within days. (see 30 Years Under Judgment – U.S Interference with Israel’s Covenanted Land)

Why is this happening? The reason is simple. God is enforcing His covenant with Abraham.

And this time it appears He left a message in the devastation; a warning, linking the penalty to the transgression.

The Land in Question

Shortly after taking office, Biden returned to the Obama policy of a two-state solution. This solution consists of Israel giving parts of its land to the Palestinians in exchange for peace. This policy spits in the face of God, who kept His promises and returned His people to the land. And though Biden’s position has already been disastrous for the U.S., he is blind to the connection.

This latest instance started in February 2020, when the Construction Ministry (JPost) filed a request to construct 9,000 Israeli homes in the Atarot area of East Jerusalem. Though this plot of land had previously been an Israeli airport, critics claim that it destroys the possibility of a two-state solution. The pro-Palestinian site Peace Now wrote this “places a wedge in the heart of the Palestinian urban sprawl that exists between Ramallah and East Jerusalem, and prevents the establishment of a Palestinian state with its capital in east Jerusalem.”

However, as usual, the nations have it wrong. The land of Israel cannot be separated from its people, and anyone who tries to take this “heavy stone” will be severely injured.

The Biden Administration and the UN Interfere Once Again

On Sunday, the 5th, Secretary of State Blinken spoke with Prime Minister Naftali Bennett specifically about the 9,000 home project. Then on Monday, the 6th, the planning committee announced it was delaying the project, citing the need for an “environmental study.”

But Blinkin pressed further. On Thursday, he met with Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz (JPost) to discuss the growing Iran nuclear threat. But Blinken insisted they devote equal time (lPost) to discussing settlements as they did to Iran, “baffling” Israeli diplomats. One senior diplomatic source stated that the Biden administration “obsessively” discusses [Jewish] settler violence. Blinkin’s focus is on Jewish violence instead Palestinian riots and terrorism betrays his bias.

Also, on Thursday, the attacks against Israel’s covenanted land came from another front when the UN General assembly approved six new anti-Israeli resolutions (JPost). Among other affirmations biased against Israel, the resolutions overwhelmingly condemned Israel’s right to its covenanted land.

While this anti-Israel/antisemitic biased is pervasive in the UN, the U.S. softened its stance in supporting Israel. One resolution reaffirmed the position that Palestinian “refugees” have a right of return to sovereign Israel (Res. 194 P. 11). Regarding this right of return, it stated that the UNRWA conciliation commission “continue exerting efforts toward the implementation.”

While under the Trump administration, the U.S. stood with Israel against this attack on Israel’s sovereignty. But under Biden, it abandoned Israel as the sole vote against the resolution, softening its vote from a “no” to “abstain.”.

The repercussions were swift.

This is a troubling topic for many people. The Bible has many examples of God chastising His people when they oppose His law and covenants. While such chastisements can result in death and destruction, God initiates them for good. His intent is to bring repentance and return the people to Him. (2 Chronicles 7:13-14, Leviticus 26)

The Penalty of Transgression

The week that started with the U.S pressuring Israel to cease settlement construction, ended with rare and catastrophic tornadoes.

On Friday, December 10th, tornadoes ripped through Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, Missouri, and Arkansas. The storms hit Kentucky the hardest with reports of four tornadoes touching down and tearing a path for over 200 miles. Two of these were referred to as “dual tornadoes,” running together.

The state governor disclosed that the tornadoes killed over 70 people and left around 60,000 without power. He called it the “most devastating tornado event in our state’s history” and added that “the level of devastation is unlike anything I have ever seen.” Most deaths came from a tornado strike on a candle factory in Mayfield, where 110 workers were inside when the storm flattened the building. The tornadoes leveled many other buildings and homes in Mayfield, including the police station and firehouse.

In Missouri, a tornado killed at least one person and injured three others in the town of Defiance.

In Illinois, the storm trapped dozens of people inside an Amazon fulfillment center in Edwardsville that partially collapsed.

A tornado hit a nursing home in Monette in Arkansas, ripping off the roof, killing two and injuring five. Another person died in a Dollar General store in Leachville.

And in Tennessee, authorities confirmed that at least two people died in Obion County.

Preliminary damage estimates are between $3 billion and $5 billion.

Unusual Events

This tornado outbreak was rare. The average number of tornadoes across the U.S. in December is 27, making it the month with the lowest level of occurrences in the year. More than 30 tornadoes were reported from this storm alone across Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, Missouri, and Arkansas. The average December tornadoes for Kentucky 0.2, Illinois 0.6, Tennessee 0.3, Missouri 1.7, and Arkansas 2.4.

Also, the 200-mile path of destruction is usually long, and this storm’s damages are extraordinarily high.

The rare or historical nature of a natural disaster is key to determining if such a disaster may be connected to recent opposition to Israel’s land rights. Like Hurricane Ida a few months ago, this disaster meets the criteria.

But can we tighten the connection further? When God passes judgment and chastisement on a nation, does He leave clues that tie the offense to the penalty?

A Prophetic Message Hidden in the Tornadoes

I was initially intrigued by the description of “dual tornadoes.” This caught my attention because of the dual offenses by the U.S. and the UN. I wondered if there was hidden symbolism in the tornado outbreak.

The next thing that that I found interesting was the fit of the penalty to the crime. While Biden and the UN inhibited Israel from building homes on its sovereign land, the U.S. experienced the destruction of multiple buildings, including ~1,000 homes on its sovereign land. In contemplating this, I further wondered if there may be some symbolic significance to the particular towns hard hit by the tornadoes that would tie these tornadoes to God’s judgment.

I found quite a few. Each one of these could just be a coincidence, but taken as a whole they appear to tell a story.

Mayfield

The town of Mayfield was the hardest hit. Seeing the word “field” in the town’s name made me wonder if the town could be symbolic of the controversial plot of land (a “field”) in Israel. I was compelled to dig deeper and found additional symbolic associations.

First, just as the national affiliation of Jerusalem and the West Bank has been subject to change and controversy, so has Mayfield’s. The town’s land was initially the territory of a First Nation’s People, the Chickasaw. The U.S. then acquired it under the Jackson Purchase as part of a land grab of the territory east of the Mississippi. Jackson’s expansion into native lands is very controversial today. Then, in 1861, southern sympathizers met at the “Mayfield Convention” and considered leaving Kentucky and joining West Tennessee. There are also reports that area leaders completed a draft of succession to leave the United States in defiance of President Lincoln.

Next, Mayfield’s naming carries possible relevance. The town was named after a gambler who was kidnapped and forcefully taken to the land where the town now resides. Like this gambler, Israel’s land in the West Bank was forcefully taken and annexed by Jordan in 1948/50.

Also, just as there is conflict and racial tension between the Jews and Israeli Arabs, Mayfield has a history of racial tensions. In December 1896, townspeople lynched four black men. As tensions grew, white citizens shot and killed a black man and burned several black-owned houses. Lynchings and violence are now occurring in Jerusalem and West Bank settlements. Tensions that started in April at Ramadan escalated to violence on May 10th and on May 12th, an Arab man was lynched.

Considering these factors, “May-Field” appears to be symbolically associated with current events in Isreal’s West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Defiance

The name Defiance seems to communicate something as well. The town was named after a late nineteenth-century store owner, John Weaver, who sold whiskey in his shop and defied anyone to enforce any law against him. Like Weaver, who defied the law, the U.S. and the UN defied God’s law; His covenant with Abraham.

Edwardsville

This town also has an interesting name. Edward is an old English name that means a prosperous or wealthy protector or guardian.

Leachville

To “leach” is to take something from the land. For example, excessive rain could leach nutrients or minerals from the soil. Could the name Leachville be associated with the Arabs taking the Jews’ rights, heritage, and history from the land?

Monette

What intrigued me about Monette was not the town itself, but the name. Monette is the name of one of the finest trumpets made. In the Bible, trumpets are used to announce an event, sound a warning, or pronounce judgment.

The Hidden Message

So, what can we infer from these symbolic associations? These tornadoes were a pronouncement of judgment and a warning (Monette) from a Prosperous Guardian (Edwardsville) Who’s protecting Israel’s land rights and national affiliation (Mayfield, Leachville) against the U.S. and the UN (dual tornadoes) who are defying God’s law (Defiance).

Time to Heed the Warnings

Whether or not you agree with the above associations, it’s hard to argue the 30 years of history demonstrating a cause and effect of U.S interference with Israel’s land and catastrophic natural disasters.

The blame for these catastrophes falls squarely on the Presidents and their administrations. Biden is blind to this effect and dismissed the storm as a consequence of global warming. God promised Abraham He would bless those who bless him and curse those who curse him. Imagine the blessings the U.S. would receive if it would elect a leader who supports God’s covenant with Abraham, despite the outrage of the other nations. Until this happens, I’m afraid we will continue to see catastrophic judgments carried out on this land.
