This election is a pivotal step to the United State’s destiny in the end-times and reveals why the U.S. is missing from Biblical end-times prophecy.

What Happens to the United States in the End-Times?
If you have read end-times prophecies the Bible, you will notice that the United States is noticeably missing.
While Biblical end-times prophecy is focused on Israel and the Middle East region, the U.S. has a clear presence in the Middle East today and is a strong ally of Israel.
If the War of Gog and Magog foretold in Ezekiel 38 occurred today, clearly, the U.S. would be there to repel an attack. But there is no such reference to any country helping Israel during this invasion.
Therefore, we can reasonably conclude that the U.S. will fall from its current prominence in the Middle East, and in its support of Israel. This is a dramatic change from today and indicates that the U.S. may be weakened, broken, defeated, or morphed so that it no longer stands as the superpower that it is today.
How does this happen?
The answer is right before us. It is found in the principles that brought our nation together and the antithesis of these principles that have been manifesting for over 60 years. These themes are larger than the person sitting in the White House, but who that person is will determine the path to this destiny.
The Divided States Became United through God
The United States was created by two unions – the union of God first, and then the union of the states. Without a union, there is no country.
Here is an amazing testimony, that few know, of how God helped bring our country together at its inception.
The States Could not Agree on Representation
On June 28, 1787, the Continental Convention was in danger of falling apart. The controversial issue of state representation was on the table. The tensions were high and the issue threatened to end our founders’ hopes of agreeing on a constitution.
In this time of desperation, Benjamin Franklin addressed the convention. He recognized that many of them had witnessed God’s hand move in response to their prayers during the Revolution and then provided his recommendation to break the deadlock.
Benjamin Franklin Proposes a Solution
First, he suggested a three-day adjournment from their deliberations. He encouraged the convention members to mix with those of opposing sentiments over the recess and listen to their reasoning.
Second, he recommended opening each session with prayer, appealing for assistance from God. In his appeal, he made some striking statements about the need for God’s assistance in forming the country:
“I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth- that God governs in the affairs of men… is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? … I also believe that without his concurring aid… We shall be divided by our little partial local interests; our projects will be confounded, and we ourselves shall become a reproach and bye word down to future ages... I therefore beg leave to move, that henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven, and its blessings on our deliberations, be held in this Assembly every morning before we proceed to business…” – Notes of James Madison
God Moves, Uniting the States
When the Convention reconvened, the spirit of the attendees had changed dramatically as documented in a letter by William Steele.
“On the fourth day we assembled again, and if great additional light had not been thrown on the subject, every unfriendly feeling had been expelled; and a spirit of conciliation had been cultivated, which promised, at least, a calm and dispassionate reconsideration of the subject [state’s representation].“
Because the delegation invited God into the process, they achieved unity among the parties. Without God’s assistance, the uniting of the states to form the constitution may have proved impossible. So, if appealing to God helped form the nation, what would happen if the nation broke off from God?
The Division between the U.S. and God
Like Israel, the founders of the U.S. consecrated the nation to God upon its founding. And like Israel, the U.S. will prosper or face judgment based on how it acknowledges God in its governance and keeps His law. Even George Washington recognized this principle at his inaugural address.
“No People can be bound to acknowledge and adore the invisible hand, which conducts the Affairs of men more than the People of the United States… Since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained…“
Of course, there has always been some level of division in the country since its inception; however, it was still “one nation under God.”
The country’s separation from God’s law began in the early 1960s when through a series of decisions, the Supreme Court ruled that teaching the Bible in public schools was unconstitutional. After that, generations of Americans grew up without an understanding of God’s laws. (see my post Attacking God’s Law – Why this Election is Critical to the Nation’s Survival for details)
From that point, a true division occurred. A division formed between a nation and its God, and between those who hold to His law and those who abandoned it. The latter embraced relative morals that shift over time with the appetite of the people. And that shift is accelerating, creating an increasing division that is widening rapidly.
As a tree will not survive without its roots, neither will this country. God is the country’s root. The constitution is its trunk. Will the branches survive if the root or trunk are weakened or rotted?
Division Leads to Rebellion
“A rebellious person seeks only evil, So a cruel messenger will be sent against him.” – Proverbs 17:11
Once a nation and its people have been separated from God, they become rebellious. From their perspective, breaking the shackles of an almighty God frees them to do as they please. This lack of respect for God’s authority and His laws flows down to a lack of respect for authority in the government and its institutions, such as the police.
This separation existed far before President Trump, but he was a catalyst. He insisted on doing things his way, and he mowed over anyone who stood against his will. While this allowed him to push through his policies successfully, it polarized the country and led to outrage on the other side of the dividing line.
The States Rebel
Notably, the states rebelled before the people. Opposing liberal states such as California ignored the President’s orders and openly declared themselves sanctuary states against federal immigration laws. They refused to coordinate with ICE, even in the cases of violent offenders.
Meanwhile, the states’ representatives rebelled in Congress, pursuing lawless investigations to oust the President based on false evidence, even impeaching him. They challenged his rights to appoint Supreme Court justices and have even hinted at stacking the Supreme Court, upsetting the balance of power established by the constitution.
The People Rebel
Next, the people rebelled, pouring out into the streets in liberal cities such a Seattle, Portland, and New York. Rioting, looting, and violence ensued.
No longer content with diplomacy, they are extreme, angry, and want to take this country in extreme directions. They attack the foundations of the country such as free speech, freedom of religion, and free-market capitalism.
The election of a Democrat President will no longer quench their thirst – they want a revolution. This will not change regardless of which candidate ultimately wins the election. The far left is placing immense pressure on Joe Biden even though the election results are not final. If they do not get their way, there will be more violence, riots, and mob rule.
For example, BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors is pushing for Congress to pass the proposed BREATHE Act. This act would include releasing all prisoners in federal prisons within 10 years and a new commission to study giving voting rights to undocumented immigrants, decriminalizing all drug offenses, and ending cooperation with immigration authorities. I can summarize this act in one word… lawlessness.
Whether President Trump or Biden wins, this is the future we must contend with.
While it is almost impossible to imagine the United States collapsing, history is not in its favor. The history books are full of fallen empires that were once the most powerful on earth. In the past century alone, look at the graveyard of fallen superpowers – the British Empire, the Ottoman Empire, Nazi Germany, Japan, and the Soviet Union.
The United States is not immune to collapse. Whichever candidate is in office, the division will grow. Will this spell the end of our union of states?
A Jewish Perspective on the Election and the End-Times
While the Jewish rabbis do not recognize the full picture of redemption, denying Jesus Christ as the Messiah, they understand much of the redemption story in the Old Testament books.
So while I include these comments concerning the U.S. election and the end-times, read them with a level of skepticism:
Chaim David Targan, a Jewish commentator – “Today formally ends the age of the American Empire. If Biden wins, like Rome, America will crash and burn. If Trump prevails, its age will end gracefully, transferring its power, authority, and sovereignty fully to the leaders of the [redemption]” (based on his interpretation of Daniel 7 – an interpretation that I disagree with)
Rabbi Alon Anava, who studies Torah codes – “Regardless of who wins, the outcome will be the same because [the Holy One] is driving the train… The whole system is set up to bring the country to civil war, martial law, and the end of the US… America is done. America is going to go down and with it, the entire world. Why? Because Hashem is preparing the entire world to bring His messiah – [Messiah, son of David] – to come and redeem the entire world, not only the Jews.“
Rabbi Yekutiel Fish, who studies Torah codes – “This code comes to warn of a civil war in the US… a war between those who serve God against those who worship foreign gods, which is liberalism today… If they do not learn to be together as brothers, this will mark the end of Edom, the end of Esau, and the beginning of the War of Gog and Magog.”
So could the election spell the beginning of the end for the United States?
The Impact of this Election on the U.S. End-Times Destiny
If a union with God and goodwill among the states brought about the creation of this country, the opposite will bring about its end.
If President Trump remains as President, liberal states like California, Washington and Oregon could grow in their rebellion and ignore federal statutes. President Trump could then use any number of counters, including withholding federal funds. In a tit for tat could the President declare martial law? Could some liberal states effectively succeed from the United States?
If Joe Biden wins, could the extreme left push its platform of socialism, government regulation, Christian persecution, expanded abortion, and punitive taxation on corporations and individuals they consider wealthy? Could such measures move conservative states to rebel and refuse these attacks on our liberties? Could some conservative states effectively succeed from the United States?
Is it possible that the division grows so great that it could eventually lead to something like a civil war?
Even worse, God has warned us of our separation from Him and his laws, particularly in 2020. (see Coronavirus is Peaking, Famine is Coming – What Comes Next?) While many believers have repented and turned their hearts towards God, the nation has not. Next will come judgment. If God judges the U.S. as He did Israel, He could split the U.S. territory and send enemy nations against us.
Remember Benjamin Franklin’s words –
“I also believe that without his concurring aid… We shall be divided by our little partial local interests; our projects will be confounded, and we ourselves shall become a reproach and bye word down to future ages.”
And if these things come to pass, the U.S. will not come to Israel’s defense when the nations invade it. It will not oppose the Beast as it gains power. Just as the prophecies about the Beast exclude a strong western power to oppose it, so shall it be.
